Internet Survey Machine

The Internet Survey Machine provides a glimpse into the future of creating online Internet web surveys. Its network centric survey creation and management environment is written in Java. Its user interface has been modeled after our well proven Survey Said for the Web technology.

The Internet Survey Machine is an extremely powerful survey creation and deployment tool that is so easy to use, you may never have to click open the manual.

Because the Internet Survey Machine runs as a Java applet, its program environment is a pleasure to work in, versus, trying to use a series of unintelligent HTML screens to build a survey (like some of our competitors have done).

The Internet Survey Machine is the perfect tool for organizations that need to offer Internet survey administration capabilities to a large number of people located anywhere in the world.

What is the Advanced Internet Survey Machine?

The Internet Survey Machine is a unique implementation of Internet web technologies that offers a powerful, fast, and easy to use survey environment where many survey administrators need access to the survey creation tools via a wide area network. The Internet Survey Machine is the result of a multi-year development project guided by our 16 year knowledge developing survey software tools. We believe you will find the Internet Survey Machine comprehensive, yet extremely easy to use.

Who is the Advanced Internet Survey Machine for?

Application Service Providers (ASPs) who need to offer Internet survey administration capabilities to their customers.

Companies that need to offer Internet survey administration capabilities to their employees on either a local area or wide area network.

Government and Armed Services that require survey administration by various groups or branches that are located at multiple facilities (wide area networks (WANs).

Universities and colleges that need to provide a network centric survey administration environment to staff and students with a minimal amount of end user support.

What are the benefits of the Advanced Internet Survey Machine?

The Internet Survey Machine’s survey creation capabilities are implemented as a Java 2 applet. This has many advantages over  implementations using server side HTML generated screens. The Internet Survey Machine’s “Internet Survey Creator” runs as a program, NOT as a series of server side generated HTML forms that have little or no intelligence and are subject to network delays or heavy server loads.

When using the Internet Survey Creator Java applet to create surveys, response is immediate. Screens are crafted precisely for the task at hand. Messages and feedback are displayed in a responsive time frame when needed. Using the Internet Survey Creator is a pleasure for the impatiently challenged user.

The Internet Survey Machine is cost effective. It can be deployed on a webserver and made available to all users who need to administer surveys. Internet access and a browser (that is Java 2) capable is all that is needed to create and deploy surveys to anyone on the Internet. There is no manual uploading or downloading of files during the survey creation and deployment stages. Even the analysis phase manages the survey and respondent data transfer to the computer running it. Again there is no external file transfers required using FTP.

How are surveys presented to the respondent?

The Internet Survey Machine provides several methods of survey deployment. A survey can be administered to the respondent as: an HTML survey form or using a sophisticated Java applet.

The HTML survey form generated by the Internet Survey Machine consists of base level HTML which can be displayed by virtually any web browser today. It is our “lowest common denominator” survey presentation, which makes it perfect for administering surveys to a general Internet audience. Our automatically generated HTML surveys are some of the best looking in the industry.

If it is control your looking for, our Java applet survey presentation is the perfect answer. We have two flavors. A Java 1.1 applet which is the environment today’s web browsers support and a Java 2 applet which is supported by the newer, more capable browsers such as Netscape 6 and Mozilla.

How much system management is required?

And best of all, The Internet Survey Machine requires very little system management. In fact, the Internet Survey Machine almost runs itself. Once a users environment (profile) is created, they are ready to administer surveys with no administrative intervention!

What about security?

Users profiles are created to allow for secure access to the system. They can be setup to work on their own private surveys or can be setup to work in groups.

User privileges include the ability to specify who has survey creation and survey analysis capabilities.

What question types are supported?

The Advanced Internet Survey Machine supports the same question types as our flagship product Survey Said for Windows and Survey Said for the Web including:
