Survey Said 98 releases 1,2 and 3 were the last versions of Survey Said to support Respondent ID and Categories. If you run any Survey Said 98 versions and use the
Respondent ID and/or Categories features the following updates are mandatory. This update fixes a potential problem when using the Survey Manager program to change a respondents answers when
respondent ID and/or categories have been defined.
How to update:
If you are running Survey Said 98 release 1 download this Survey Said 98 release 1 update.
To determine if you
are running Release 1, Click on Help, then About in the Survey Librarian and the caption in the very top of the dialog box will say Survey Said Version 8.0.0
If you are running Survey Said 98 release 2 download this Survey Said 98 release 2 update.
To determine if you
are running Release 2, Click on Help, then About in the Survey Librarian and the caption in the very top of the dialog box will say Survey Said Version 8.0.1
Important:
If you are running Survey Said 98 Release 2, you can upgrade to Survey Said 98 Release 3 at no additional charge by downloading the Survey Said 98 Release 3 upgrade below. Release 3 includes a new question type “Dual Scale”.
If you are running Survey Said 98 release 3 download this Survey Said 98 release 3 update.
To determine if you
are running Release 3, Click on Help, then About in the Survey Librarian and the caption in the very top of the dialog box will say Survey Said Version 8.1.1
After downloading the update, simply run the downloaded file, which will extract the updated programs to your system. You can specify the Survey Said directory to extract
the files to, or you can specify some other directory and then copy the updated files to the Survey Said directory. There is a readme.txt file that comes with the update. If you have any questions,
